Default Guess that Poem

Greetings distinguished poets of the Coliseum!
Can you guess which famous poem this sculpture is based on?
And, yes, that is I, interjecting myself into the middle of the poem one fall afternoon in 2011.

I'd love to know, but I haven't got a clue....looks like broken legs in the middle of a field.
Are we in Mudville?

Mighty Casey at the Bat? (in bare feet?)

"Broken legs in the middle of a field". I like that. Good title.
I can't give a clue or a hint cuz any reference could be easily Googled.
I do know the sculptor & the eccentric person who commissioned the piece.
Trouble should know this one. It resides in his home state of Texas.
The Bard will know for sure. There is a reference to these legs in the poem which was published Jan. 11, 1818.

On this day, with the notice of the Bard's (Rod's) passing I will answer for him.

OZYMANDIAS
by: Shelley

I MET a Traveler from an antique land,
Who said, "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desart. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read,
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is OZYMANDIAS, King of Kings."
Look on my works ye Mighty, and despair!
No thing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that Colossal Wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Thank you, Calli.
The Bard is smiling today. No more pain. No more suffering.
He's running free with Baron & his loved ones by his side.
My mom passed from COPD in April.
I left my job & moved across the country to take care of her for the last year.
Best decision I ever made. God Bless.
