Default Re: The Ross Show Gives up The Ghost

Well I don't really care one way or the other.

I have long ago stopped posting to any of the so-called OAI boards. I only read Ross more or less to keep up with the storyline, lest I tune in at a future time & not know what's happening.

Most of the star players are long gone.

Ross is so far gone that when he is there he's out of it.

The Hep charactor came back this past week for an encore. Well done, I might add.

There was a walk on by Toy Ranch.

Trouble, a Johnny-Come-Lately to the "OAI board" scene, reprised his/her role(s) pretty good, but just as quickly made his/her exit.

Hey, reading the latest dust up over there, for some strange reason I got to wondering what OuthouseCleaner and Chynna are doing these days...

TerriV trying to get a non-fighting thread or 2 going, but no takers.

Lots of players in the wings, but without Ross their heart just ain't in it.

The final episode, both content and date of, is still just a rough draft.

The series still has a while to go. Kris still has a manifesto to deliver, of course. And it will have to stay open a while after that, 'cause what good is a good manifesto without the catfight afterwards.

That reminds me, I need to pick up some popcorn when I go to the beer store later.

`

Hey Rod... It's been a while since I've spun a tune for ya... here's one I'm sure you'll like...

`

It's sad to think, we're not gonna make it
And it's gotten to the point where we just can fake it
For some unGodly reason we just won't let it down
I guess neither one of us (neither one of us)
Wants to be the first to say good bye

I keep on wondering
What I'm gonna do with out ya
And I guess you must be wondering that same thing too
So we go on go on together living our lives
Because neither one of us (neither one of us)
Wants to be the first to say good bye

Oooooh ev'rytime I find the nerve
Everytime I find the nerve to say I'm leavin'
Oh, memories, those old memories get in my way
Oh Lord knows it's only me only knows it's only me
That I'm deciving

When it comes to say good bye
That's a simple word that I just cannot say
There can be no way
This can have a happy ending
So we just go on hurting and pretending
And convincing ourselves to give it just one more try

Because neither one of us
Wants to be the first to say
Neither one of us (neither one of us) Wants to be the first to say
Neither one of us (Neither one of us) wants to be the first to say
Goodbye

The sore still has some festering to do... probably has one more good eruption left in it.

Like a scab on a kids knee when in youth, one is tempted repeatedly to pick it off time & again,

Never heals nor dissapears.

Hey hey hey ... another Hep thread at Ross. Looks like it'll be 1000 hits before sundown.

The last one is closing in on 9000 views after less than a week.

Ya gotta wonder why a hit whore like Ross chased away Hepburn (and other big draws).

When you look back and try to pinpoint the moment the decline started, you'll have to think that, next to putting kris in charge, losing Hep was Ross's biggest blunder.

Of, of course not giving the Bard his proper respect was a factor, let none forget. Know that, and know it deep.

Arrogance (pride cometh before the fall)

There were many as myself that would attempt to give his board a legup, only to be met with indifferance for our effort.

He turned on all the old OAI guard.

The Bards over the years in its hay day supplied many splinter boards with new members, as they fell away here in discontent driven by malcontents. And or for whatever reasons.

But NONE of that overflow, or little of it, ever found its way to the Rosses show, due to his indifferance and jealousy towards the Bards since its conception.

He forgot every poster is important.

Its not easy to run a big board, its easy yo make mistakes
but Rosses was his indifferance, treating posters like shit that continued in grace to attempt to support his failing board over the years. Like Hep and others.

I can only surmise, he no longer cares,

Or in his supreme arrogance sees and views his board as indestructable.

Most of the last left moved to the new board that is all the rage now.

Actually Stray, the only reason Hep is drawing any hits is due to her being confrontational.

Any poster of merit could start a fight thread and garner a lot of attention
Cus certainly there is never a shortage of folk who wanna play lets insult each other and play board wars..That remains my opinion.
